Booth #1607 -- Eberle Design, Inc. (EDI) / RENO A&E (RAE)

Eberle Design, Inc (EDI) / Reno A&E (RAE) provide a wide array of vehicle detection products from inductive loop detectors, automatic vehicle identification systems and prefabricated roadway loops (UltraLoop™ Series).  Being demonstrated, the EDI flagship DEFLECTOMETER® series detectors, which provide advanced features such as a built-in frequency meter, vehicle DETECT strength meter and loop diagnostics.

Inductive Loop Systems Remain the Top Solution for your Vehicle Detection Applications!
These are not your Fathers or Grandfathers Detectors and Loops!
The basis of Inductive Loop detection has not changed in over 40 years of use in detecting vehicles at intersections, entrances and exits to parking lots, drive-thru restaurants or secure areas.
However, the advancement of the technology now allows for better, more accurate and robust systems that will last longer than before and work better than what was previously available just 20 years ago.
The advancement of digital signal processing and microprocessors over analog circuitry is one significant change.  The other is the materials and changes made to the loop wire, loop cable and the loops themselves.
In addition to the advancement of inductive loop vehicle detectors, in which today we can differentiate between all licensed roadway vehicles and bicycles, we have the advancement of prefabricated roadway loops.  Together these Reno A&E (RAE) products provide the most reliable vehicle detection system available today!
RAE continues to be the world’s leading manufacturer of prefabricated loops for parking, access, traffic, and railway control applications.  Along with our sister company, Eberle Design, Inc. (EDI), we are the global leader of mission-critical intersection safety and vehicle detection devices and offer superior prefabricated loop products (the UltraLoopTM Series) that provide the ultimate synergy for your vehicle detection solutions. Our superior UltraLoopTM products that incorporate Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) Insulation, provide the ultimate solutions for all your vehicle detection applications.
In regard to roadway loops, there are some major differences in what is referred to as the “Wound-in-the-Ground” loop where a contractor uses a spool of wire and winds the loop in the ground manually and a preformed or what we like to call a prefabricated loop.   There are several physical differences between the two types such as wire separation, issues with vibration between separate turns of the wire, movement between the turns of the wire and saw cut depths required for “Wound-in-the-ground” loops.  The UltraLoopTM series of prefabricated loops eliminate issues with vibration or movement and require less depth for installations.  Our custom designed wire and cable utilizes many layers XLPE insulation along with providing excellent thermal, electrical and physical properties to resist abrasion, moisture and chemicals.
The RAE Prefabricated UltraLoopTM series are manufactured in different configurations, shapes and sizes (square, round, rectangle, etc…).  Depending on the application there are four different series of prefabricated loops to choose from; the UltraLite (PLA Series), the UltraEasy (PLB Series), the UltraStrong (PLH Series) and the UltraRugged (PLH-R Series).
Utilizing RAE or EDI vehicle detectors with the RAE prefabricated UltraLoopTM provides the most reliable vehicle detection system today and delivers an extremely long life cycle for your overall access, traffic or railway control system.
